JCCC Student Support Technician – Due Sept. 2nd
Student employment opportunity!
Want a technical or customer service job for your resume but think you should wait until you’ve taken a few classes? Don’t wait!
We will train the right people, and you’ll have more opportunities that benefit your resume the longer you are with us. You don’t have to be an IT student. We currently have a student on our team seeking a math major and have had a team member earn a fashion degree in the past. Customer service is a great skill for most jobs.
Some of the many benefits include:
- 3 credit hours paid for each semester
- Customer service, soft skills, and troubleshooting experience
- A great opportunity to build skills for your resume
- A schedule that works around your JCCC classes
The posting is currently open and runs through September 02, 2026. Apply at: https://careers.jccc.edu/en-us/job/498319/student-support-technician
You must submit your resume and cover letter on the site when completing your application.
In the words of past Student Support Technicians:
- “The TSC provided a great atmosphere and makes sure to keep your focus as a student. This ensures you’re able to get experience in the IT space while also making time for your classes. This is incredibly crucial as most of the time IT positions will be looking at experience more than having a degree.”
- “Working as a part-time Student Support Technician is something that I would recommend to every student regardless of major.”
- “If I could do it all over again, I would.”
If you have questions about the position, please contact the hiring manager, Kathryn Douglas, at kdougl22@jccc.edu. You may also call the TSC at 913-469-7700 and ask to be transferred to her.
